The Cats (5-3) travel to Stark Vegas to take on the Bulldogs (4-4). The Cats after starting the year at 5-0 during the easy part of the schedule did include 2 SEC wins over Florida and Vandy. However, since then they have lost 3 straight to Georgia, Missouri, and Tennessee. The Bulldogs only have 1 SEC win out of the 4 wins which was over Arkansas 7-3. They are coming off a 27-13 loss to Auburn this past Saturday. This is one of two remaining games that most would say that are very winnable. The Cats will need the offense to build upon their best effort of the year Saturday against Tennessee. The defense needs a vast improvement from their showing the last 3 quarters vs. Missouri and Tennessee. In those last 7 quarters they have allowed 71 points that is over 10 points a quarter. 

The game time is set for 7:30pm on the SEC Network. Go Cats!!

Kentucky 24-20.

I think this is going to be a low scoring game as both teams try to use the power run to push the other around.  I think Kentucky wins it by a narrow margin (or at least they should on paper).  If they can't beat this Miss. State team, which is struggling in the aftermath of Mike Leach's death a year ago, then they'll lose the rest of their games.

MSU is bad. I think UK wins comfortably.

Really surprised that spot was not overturned I thought he was short. I will take it.

After the call standing the Cats get a touchdown on the first play a 4 yard throw from Leary to Sumo-Karngbaye to make it 7-0 Cats.

Well after a good kickoff and coverage State should be starting at their own 15 yard but a after the play unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the Cats moves it out to the 30 yard line.

So far the Miss. State offense is not looking as good as it did with Will Rogers still out.

I cannot think of the last time I seen a team run 20 plays on offense and took 12:29 to do so. At least the Cats only allowed a FG to make it 7-3 Cats.

The Cats had another 3 and out then the defense comes up big with a pick 6 by D'Eryk Jackson to make it 14-3. Miss. State after a 12:30 drive for 3 points the offense has an :08 second drive and the Cats get 7 off it.

Cats score again right before the half on a 10 play 63 yard drive capped off on a 4 yard pass from Leary to Dane Key. Cats lead 21-3 with :52 left in the first half. The Cats will get the ball as well to begin the 2nd half.

The Cats get a FG to go up 24-3 with 5:51 left in the 3rd quarter.
