I would suspect that Rowan County got its win over Russell a little early. If the teams meet again in Morehead, it won't happen again. Russell has far more more talent and size than does the Rowan County.

So Russell doesn't just have more talent and size than Rowan, but they have FAR MORE talent and size. I mean, a 20-point loss at home was a fluke of gigantic proportions - I mean, c'mon, Russell, after all, has by far more talent and size than little ole Rowan County. Heck, I still don't know how Rowan makes it to two straight regional championship games as small and untalented as they are...it's head-scratching.

 

Tough Dfenz is a great equalizer, and heart is a biggie as well. Coaching doesn't hurt either.

 

But....I guess I'll just have to look forward to Russell beating Rowan by 20 next time and making that 40-point swing, given they are bigger and far more talented.

However, Defenz, your post, although in mocking fashion, still stated a good bit of truth. It also indicates that you must have gotten into Wireman's medicine bottle. I didn't say Russell would win by twenty. I just said they would win. If you say twenty, that sounds a couple of points high but it is fine if you say so. However, such posts will cost you access to Wireman's Lady Viking pills.

Hey SB, it's all good...we go way back! However, I will say that most of your "neutral observers" are east of Carter County, so you come with a Greenup/Boyd bias for the schools up there (as we do down here for our teams worthy of props). Unfortunately, there are very few posters on this end of the region - we're not very big or talented down here in the western portion of the 16th. LOL

 

I'll close with this...and with all due respect to many fine coaches in the 16th (and we have a bunch - Kidwell and Easterling among the tops with Euton, Perry and Trimble right there in the mix), Troy Lee Thomas is the best and don't ever underestimate what he can pull off in March.

 

P.S. No need for me to get in Wireman's medicine bottle...there's plenty of "Kool aid" flowing through the Licking River for everybody in Morehead.
