Nelson County schools are closed today due to staffing shortages.  ?

Some good points made in the article about what it does for staff jobs + opportunities for students being restricted.  Always makes these discussions difficult.

It is somewhat crazy to me that this is where they are - they built that school only 11 years ago.

    I'm all for school and community pride, but any time it comes down to staying status quo or making a move that will increase resources and opportunities in education, that has to be the way to go.

    I seem to remember a fair amount of "community" opposition to opening a second high school. 

    From looking at enrollment numbers, it doesn't seem as if there are many more high school students in the County system as when TNHS was opened in 2012. 

    Was/Is there a lot of unused classrooms/facilities in the interim at NCHS?
