Dayton 38 Bellevue 14

Featured Replies

All Devils in this one. Bellevue gets a forced fumble scoop and score and one other offensive TD. Dayton was the bigger more physical team. Bellevue took a couple drives to adjust to Daytons offense running sweeps almost every play. 859 Boys said Bellevue had around 30 on the roster which is great news, next step is getting some team speed on defense.

Bellevue showed some good things. They are definitely better than what they had been. Dayton was clearly better though. I will say that Dayton has to clean up on the turnovers moving forward after tonight. Dayton definitely has some good athletes, especially with Nickell, Jimenez, and another running back I forgot the name of, which makes me feel silly lol.

On another note, it was emotional for some, including myself. Guess that comes with time and age. To realize that tonight was probably the last game between these two has officially set in. The new stadium is necessary and a very good thing for Dayton, but it’s definitely bittersweet. Lots of memories at Davis Field for sure and looking back now, they are all good.

Last picture, thought this was cool. 150 was marked at midfield representing the 150th game between the two.

That is a great rivalry crowd. Thanks for sharing this live action clip.

Love the big "Dayton Greendevils" banner hanging off the neighbors deck across Vine St.(?)

I agree. It was always fun playing on that field.

I believe you may be talking about the house on Maple St with the back deck having the banner. Fireworks are shot off from there when Dayton scores or wins. “The Devil Deck”

Loved the atmosphere small school football.  Bellevue competed but just ran out of case.
