Roscoe Denny of South Laurel. Does anyone know how many differant teams he has been to the Sweet Sixteen with?

Sorry! Didn't read the entire question - missed the Sweet Sixteen part -but he's been there a bunch too.

Enough to have earned the coveted moniker of "Suitcase" Denny!

Great guy - it he hasn't been there, done it, claimed to have invented it, or improved upon it - it's not worth doing!

One of the real charismatic characters in our game.

I'm still trying to get one of his recording artist CDs.

If he can't dazzle you with brilliance, he will surely baffle you with b.s..

Sooooonnnnnnnn!

No argument here regarding character, however, Robbie is unable to be a head coach due to lack of academic credentials.
Technically, under today's criteria, Robby, or anyone for that matter could qualify to be a head coach, so long as a certified teacher in the system doesn't request the job.

Brent West and Jason Macdaniel from Corbin both put in TONS of time and effort as assistant coaches.

Scott Floyd at Raceland deserves a mention.

Couldn't agree with you more....and add Coach Clark by his side. Without Coach Floyd (and Coach Clark, in the past two years) holding the team together through out the turmoil that seems to erupt each year, it would be hard to imagine what would happen. IMO, anyway.

The assistant Coaches at Rose Hill are very knowledgable about the game and know how to get the most of their players. I don't think anyone of them have aspirations of being the head Coach of the Hill.

Brian LeMaster of Boyd County. He took a group of eastern KY boys to the national AAU tourney for 5 consecutive years and always finish in the top 15 and several top 10 finishes. He got the most out of every single kid he coached and they all loved him for it. Night in and night out he would out-coach the opposing coach who had a much more talented group on their way to a victory. If someone gives him a shot as a HC I have no doubt that he would have major success. Schools would then be fighting over his services.

Totally agree. That team from Eastern Ky. beat teams they had no business even being on the floor with.Great defensive coach especially in the half-court.

Jim Stepp at June Buchanan, coached at Alice Lloyd, led them deep into the NAIA tournament for 4 years in a row, played at George Washington, played at Sheldon Clark,he would be a good coach anywhere
