  • I know KHSAA has it as two picks but Mercer picked TC 3 times with 3 separate players.  TC also lost a fumble.  4 turnovers are hard to overcome.  At same time they ran a kickoff back against mercer s

  • Bardstown big.

  • I don’t think Bardstown wins big but it’s hard to keep any faith in a team that keeps losing to teams they are supposedly more talented then.

Peyton Smith would have close to 200 yards rushing already if that run wasn’t called back. He has got to be the best Junior back I’ve seen in the entire state.

Taylor County with a pick 6. Taylor leads 21-3. Around 6 minutes in the first half to go.

Better than Cortez Stone? Smith is really good, but that's high praise.

I’ve only seen Cortez twice on video, so I won’t attempt to say I’ve seen him enough to know for sure, but Peyton Smith is the real deal.
If he’s better than Smith, he’s top tier D1. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Smith end up at a bigger D1 school when it’s all said and done.

Taylor leads at the half, 20-3. Bardstown has moved the ball up and down the field, but had two turnovers and a missed field goal. One of the turnovers being a pick 6 for Taylor.

I expect this to end in a very tight score, as Bardstown has figured out they just need to load the entire box and make Taylor throw the ball. If Bardstown can fix the turnovers, this one is gonna be a fun finish. I also must give Taylor some credit, they have looked much better and played the way I expected they would last week.

I've seen Smith a time or two on video, but he's hidden away in Taylor County. Big numbers through two years of varsity play and he does pass the eye test.

Worth noting both Smith brothers reclassified down a grade level.

Taylor was up 32-3 last I heard. Making the drive back from John Hardin, so unable to keep score updates going.

34-3 Taylor. 9:37 to go in game. Lightning delay. This is not the same Bardstown team that played against Cooper last week.

That has a lot to do with Taylor
