Henderson County is one of two remaining teams which has won a state championship. The Colonels beat Ballard, 1-0, to win the 2000 state title. Henderson County was also shut out, 4-0, by Woodford Cou

I was floored that this was their first state trip in ten years. For those of us a certain age, Harrison County in the state baseball tournament was the most common thing about spring.

What stands out to me is how close all the first round games were.

Today we have:

Eastern vs. Shelby County

Lexington Catholic vs. Apollo

Harrison County vs. Henderson County

Whitley County vs. South Warren

IS Harrison Co back as a baseball school? I'm pulling for the other Breds.

Seems about as wide open as it could be. Lots of highly ranked teams lost in the regionals. I’d probably call Lexington Catholic the favorite.

Henderson County had a losing record coming into the region tournament and are now two wins away from a state championship.

Wow!

Thanks for adding that, I haven't followed baseball this year other than a bit of Beechwood.

Definitely a better team than their record. No bad losses and played quite a few games against strong Indiana teams. They can win the championship.

Which is one of the things I love about Baseball.

Whitley’s first trip to the final 4. Would love to see them win two more.
