Sounds more like the game that Holmes played against CovCath down at the 5th/3rd Classic which CovCath won in overtime 42/41.

 

Glad the game is at CovCath this year, as the Crazies will be in rare form Tuesday...that alone is worth at least a couple of extra points to the Colonels. Of course as much as CovCath has played on the road this season, I am not so sure that playing at home (what's a home floor) is really all that much help....

 

CovCath should really pressure the Holmes guards tightly on "D", and send wave after wave of players off the bench to force Holmes to constantly move when they have the ball, and run as much as the Colonels can when they have the ball. Holmes already is deep into their bench with the suspensions, so force them to go even deeper......

 

Boy do I have questions for Andy, son of Mike, and brother to Kevin, but I will leave well enough alone....

Hate to say it, but I really don't see Holmes winning this one. Not that I don't have confidence in them, but the Bulldog starting 5 is just very inexperienced and losing 4 players definetly doesn't help w/ your depth.

 

I'll say Covcath by around 10. but I'm hoping I'm wrong because I know Holmes CAN beat them.

Big game for the Bulldogs, hate to say its a must win, but if they lose they lose any shot if being the one seed in district. Cov Cath is just to deep for these bulldogs, maybe 2 weeks ago its a different story.

We all know what Austin Hill can do and he always comes to play in big games. Braeon Avery is a very good player and hasnt had a chance to have the spotlight yet but he is every bit as good as all CCH players with the exception of Jacobs. Terrance Clark is a great player in the post when he wants to be. CCH rarely overlooks teams but i see this happening.

Really? You see them overlooking a team who everyone touts as the best team, if only they could get their stuff together? You see them overlooking a team that has been hyped up as a state title contender for most of their lives? You see them overlooking a district game, on their home floor?

 

If Cov Cath overlooks this game, I'd argue that there are just as many problems (in terms of basketball) in Park Hills than down in Covington...

Well if they were going to over look Holmes, I think the Cov Holy Cross vs Holmes game just might have made them think twice about that. I also want to thank you for making the CovCath players and Crazies realize that these young Holmes players are pretty good. I am sure that CovCath Seniors Kurt Brovard and Billy Schult are happy to hear that you think some Junior who has been sitting the bench until last week, is better than them.

 

You know, I just don't understand how this group of CovCath player have ever beaten Holmes in the last three years....

CCH takes the lead early and never looks back. Holmes wears out and gets tired early in the game. Frustration sets in and they are unable to rally.

 

Districts will be a dfferent story.

That'd be a great point if most of the talent at Holmes could actually stay on the court & in a uniform.
