Coming down th the Greek Freak or Embid, but there are a couple of others in the conversation.  Just my $.02 worth. 

Jokic is still the betting favorite, but I would go with Embiid. He does drift out to the perimeter too much for my liking and should collect more rebounds, but his mid-range game has been sick. The 76ers played the Wolves last week and there was literally nothing they could do. Giannis is still the scariest player on the planet.

I believe that with voting fatigue, and recent comments made on "voter racism" that there is no way Jokic wins the MVP this year. Don't get me wrong, he could very well earn it, but I do not see any possibility that he actually wins it. 

Voter fatigue started with Lebron at Miami, where he was by far the best player in the world every single year, but one very seldom MVP's. He became so good in his own way that we became bored of watching it. Kind of the same with Jokic, he is a point-center, and we become bored watching him play. 

I won't get into my other point made, but JJ Reddick put the nail in the coffin on that one, that's all I am going to say. While saying that, I don't see Adam Silver letting Jokic win his 3rd straight, just so that he can avoid these conversations.

I agree. I see no way Jokic wins it. The discourse from some media talking heads has become absurd. It is game 54 of 82 and hot take guy says, "It is criminal player X is not in the MVP conversation." Relax, there is still 35% of the season left, can we see how it goes down the stretch before jumping to the voter racism insinuations?

The media is getting out of control. I know that I say it a lot on here, but JJ Reddick is the greatest NBA media coverage that you can get in today's world. Completely unbiased, and comes with some of the best knowledge imaginable. 

Embiid should win.  I think he will.

Jokic is so glaringly NOT a 2-way player, even if you thought Joel and Jokic were even offensively, the gap on the other end of the floor is a wide chasm.

Giannis is obviously terrific, and was GREAT when Middleton was out, I'd have him at #2 right now, but a big month could see him overtake Joel.

Almost every team has played 70 games. There is ~15% of the season remaining.

At this point you are correct. At game "54 of 82," we were near that 35% number ? My point was we've been doing this back and forth on the MVP for the last 14 weeks, can we just wait and see how thing finish before declaring the voters corrupt for voting Jokic the previous two seasons and him leading the way on January 24, 2023?

Maybe completely wasn't the correct wording. I just feel that he goes into every debate on "First Take" with a level head and extremely open mind. On his podcast he covers every aspect of each topic that he talks about. 

You see that far and few between in today's NBA and other professional sports.
