Ky. for the past several years. The school can be a partner, benefactor and beneficiary. If the school can elevate its profile to attract and retain the children in the community, Bellevue can be a great comeback story.

The new development on Covet Pike is in the county school district.

I hope it is, but my mom mentioned last week it may not be. She’s a Bellevuan and retired so she talks to everyone. It would be ideal if the people who bought the homes sent their kids (should they have kids) to Bellevue Schools.

What’s the reason you’d want your kids to go though? Like what’s really grabbing people? I think all most parents want is the best opportunity for their kids. 

I concur with what you are saying. We had the same talk 15 years ago with our oldest. We decided Bellevue public schools didn’t match up to even tiny NewCath. It was a tough decision as I’m a proponent of supporting the local public school if there isn’t (in our case) a catholic school equivalent. I don’t k ow what needs to be improved education wise to recruit kids to stay in the school system, but with all the technology available how many bells and whistles do you really need?
