Heckuva way to get the 45th district tournament underway.

Danville's win sets up a clash of #2 and #3 RPIs in the 12th region in the district semis against Lincoln.  Should be a great game.

What a game, DCA had every chance to win and Danville never gave up. Jarius Bryant with big shots tonight, Big Lua for DCA was a beast tonight. Danville was undersized at every position and came away with the win. Both teams play hard the whole game. Demauriah Brown might be the most athletic player in the 12th region, gosh he's a joy to watch on both ends of the court. Josh Bixler is a kid that nobody talks about on Danville but he brings it every time I watch them play. He does all the dirty work for the Ads. Congrats to DCA on a good year, they will be loaded again next year just losing Ridge and Dominion.

I think it is a clash between the number 5 team in the district and the number 1 team in the district just to be correct.

It is but it's not more typically lopsided #1 vs. #5 seed game you'd find in most district tournaments is my point.  You won't find a lot of #5 seeds in the state with 20 wins and a winning region record, nor too many #5 seeds that beat that #1 seed on their home floor already.

Agree with everything you just said. Brown is going to be a very, very good player as he continues to progress as a player. DCA started the year 11-4 and ended 3-11. Not really sure what went wrong, other teams meshed and got stronger as the year went on and maybe DCA just peaked too early. From a sheer size standpoint, they have as much length as anybody in the region. They have a good coach in Don Story, next year they will have another chance to get it right in the postseason with Dut and Imfield being seniors.

One thing I'll say about this game, I thought the officials did a great job letting the players decide it for the most part.  The game had good flow, and limited whistles which I like to see in postseason.  Hopefully, other games follow suit in district play!
