45th district tournament time begins tomorrow for boys and girls. DCA and Danville Ssquare off at 7:30 in Stanford.

 

Garrard and KSD square off at Garrard County.

This should be another instant 45th District classic. Both teams if playing well could compete for the title. It will be close either way but gotta go with the Ads 66-64 on a a last second shot from Barnes. 
 

Why is Garrard playing at Garrard if the tournament is at Lincoln?
Garrard names the score and Cooper probably has 40 tomorrow evening.

DCA by 8. Garrard by whatever amount they want it to be.

I got DCA by 10. Danville will have a hard time keeping Dut out the lane and Grayson had 26 points last game just playing bully ball.

I think Lincoln wanted the girls final on Thursday and boys on Friday. In order to do that they would have to play three games on Monday, which is tough. With Garrard having gym limitations but no real crowd expected for their game with KSD, it made sense to just play it in Lancaster.

As for the second comment, my hope is we see four quarters of JV against KSD tomorrow night. 

I’ve went back and forth on this one.  My heart says DCA and my mind says Danville.  Has to be one of the best, if not best 4/5 game in the state.  A lot of really good players on both teams, and when these two hook it up it’s always a fight.  Danville eliminated DCA last year, so I’m going 62-59 DCA to return the favor.  

Key to the game for me is tempo.  Danville will press and look to cause live ball TOs.  If DCA minimizes the effectiveness, they can win this ballgame.

I agree. Definitely need to play JV players. I'm glad KSD is participating! Garrard can rest their varsity players and their younger guys get to have played in a 45th district tournament game.

22-14 Danville after 1.  Danville shooting it great!  I’ll do quarterly updates. 

DCA locked Danville down in the 2nd quarter.  Up 29-27 at the half.  Thanks to WPBK for streaming the game.  Couldn't make it to Lincoln tonight!

29-27 Danville Christian @ Half.  DCA stormed back in 2nd period, and started finishing around the basket.  Big Lou probably is close to a double/double @ Half.  Danville was hot early, but settled too much in 2nd Q.   Biggest takeaway is DCA is doing a good job controlling the paint, and keeping Danville out of transition offense.  Danville played half ct man majority of 1st, and I feel like they’ll turn up the heat some in 2nd half! 

Random nugget, but I’m not sure Danville subbed the whole entire half.  

Danville just can't stop DCA inside this third quarter.  And the shots aren't falling.  DCA up 37-33 with 1:58 in the 3rd.
