I would vote for Anne if she runs.

I would vote for Anne if she runs.
I would actually consider it, too. Depends on how much she'd let the party dictate her agenda.

My vote goes to Anne.

IF he makes it out of the primary, you can rest assured we will be sick and tired of the Democratic commercials that will lampoon the "waste, fraud and abuse..." tag line from the last Fletcher campaign. IF he makes it to the general election, this recall of his past promise will remind everyone of what HE was going to do and the points against that promise. Valid or not, the advertising campaign, the resulting negative reminders, and the problems of perception.

There are plenty in the Republican party that know this will be the case and that is exactly why you see Northrup showing up on the radar screen.

Can you say, deal?:walk:

OK, recap:

Stumbo, political grand jury (that would indict a ham sandwich, and indicts Fletcher, charging a MISDEMEANOR, LOL, WHICH GRAND JURIES DO NOT DO...)

Grand jury is in sesson forever, Stumbo uses most of resources of his office on this, and gets NOTHING...

All charges (MISDEMEANORS) are DROPPED...

And Fletcher gave up what in the "deal" you refer to???

Pollyanna your own self...

My vote goes to Anne.

So does mine and my entire family. He has snubbed this area and the people in it that helped him in the last election. I just want him gone.

But the above is what is wrong with Kentucky politics. Ours didn't get what we wanted so, lets vote the bum out, not even thinking what he did for the Commonwealth as a whole... Yes, I am from NKy and we did get some, but you really don't want to compare what we send down in the form of tax dollars year after year, to what we get back, year after year....

Not a huge Ernie fan, because of what he said he would do, and didn't followed through on it, but the Dem's are only asking for trouble if they bring it up, as all Ernie has to say, I only did what you guys have been doing for years and years......

If Ann runs and Trey is her Lt. then it will be a hard pick in the primary for this registered Republican voter who votes....If Ann doesn't pick Trey, not sure she will get the rather large Republican vote in NKy, and that vote is huge to a Republican candidate in the primary, even if she does carry the Ville by a large margin..... Remember she can't win the general election if she can't win the primary, and that is where the huge number of NKy Republican voters comes into play for, or against her....

And Fletcher gave up what in the "deal" you refer to???

Uh, I dunno, he only had to admit that he did it?

Besides, if it had gone to trial, he just would have pardoned himself, like he did all his cronies.

But he's the guy that based his entire campaign on 'restoring hope.'

If he'd run on anything else, this is just another campaign in Kentucky. But he didn't.

He had to plead guilty to the charges in order to have the charges dropped??? I don't think so!!! And he had already said he wouldn't pardon himself. The largest business publication in the state already disagrees with you, and many more to come. Those who declared Fletcher dead (most on here) are already proved wrong. It's a horse race.

Another thing the dems don't want to talk about...all the controversy in the merit scandal involved only a very few employees out of 40,000+...:sssh:

CHARGES DROPPED = NOT GUILTY OF THE CHARGES

Being from heavily Republican county, I was hoping very much that Fletcher's adminstration, the first Republican administration in over 30 years, would have okayed the proposed Route 30 road project between Booneville (Owsley County) and London, and the Route 11 project between Beattyville and Booneville that would connect to Route 30 at Levi, 3 miles from Booneville. These two new road projects would basicly connect the Mountain Parkway with the with the Hal Rogers Parkway and I-75. It would also open up an area of Kentucky that has been ignored for years: Owsley County, Lee County, Jackson County, the northern section of Perry County, and the eastern section of Breathitt County. Without good roads it's difficult to attract industry. With a new Route 30, a trip from Booneville to London would take about 45 minutes. As of now Route 30 is a curvy, winding, hilly, and narrow road...and very dangrous. It is also the route that many gas trucks travel from to get to I-75 to get fuel supplies in Knoxville. Two nights ago a gas tanker wrecked on a section of this road and the resulting gasoline spill resulted in the EPA having to be called for clean up.

I hope this doesn't sound selfish on my part, but I sincerely hope that before Fletcher leaves office he gives his stamp of approval on these two road projects. They've been on the so-called "Six Year Plan" for about 50 years:rolleyes: :irked: . It's time to get the ball rolling.

CHARGES DROPPED = NOT GUILTY OF THE CHARGES

OJ is innocent, too...:sssh:

And so what if he said he wouldn't pardon himself? He also said he wouldn't abuse the pardon power when he was running for Governor... Oops.
