Caleb is the only kid from Kentucky on those rankings.

4. No recruiting comments or allegations of KHSAA rules violations by any school, coach, player or booster are allowed. No comments about where any player lives, has lived, or where they are from in a recruiting context. This is not the place to report KHSAA violations. Feel free to contact Kentucky High School Athletic Association | KHSAA – Student-athletes of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow to report such violations, but do not discuss violations here.

Caleb is already  number #45 overall in the class of 2027 per coast to coast preps.

Coast 2 Coast Preps, MSHTV, CP3 and all the rest of the pay to play rankings are cool and give you a look at young talent but are not official rankings.  Those are meat market camps that are all chasing the dollar. 247 and Rivals are also jaded to some extent but are more valid that these junior camps.  The 8th grader from Russell is a very good player and I hope he bounces back from his injury 100% healthy.  Let's just let the young man work hard and develop without adults putting undue pressure on him to live up to "way to early rankings."  One player doesn't win a district title or get you to the regional tournament.  He is good now and could potentially be one of the best ones to come out of Russell but just stop with the pressure.   He is only in the 8th grade!

I never said one player wins a district title or more and how is that putting pressure on the kid my stating an opinion saying that he could be better than Brady bell by the time he leaves Russell, It doesn’t and my guess is the kid doesn’t even read message boards.  Can you show me where I said he would lead Russell to a district title or more? I don’t think you can. All I’m saying is the kid is really good and  could be the go to guy at Russell as he becomes a junior and senior. There is nothing wrong with anything I’ve said so stop making it a bigger deal than what it is.

You literally took everything I posted and made it a pity party for yourself.  The entire point that I was making went over your head.  The rankings that you were posting about were for middle school.  You do know that right?   Some of the kids on that list may not even play high school ball.  Sorry that I upset you.

The whole point of my first post about Caleb Rimmer was because the person was saying they heard good things about Caleb Rimmer and I was just telling the person who posted  that the kid was pretty good and would be a good player for Russell and you took it out of context. Yes I know those are middle school rankings. It still doesn’t change the fact that Caleb is pretty good and will likely be one of Russell‘s Top players if not this year but in the future if he stays at Russell.

jtb12882 Said " I've heard lots of hype about the Rimmer boy at Russell. I think he is young ( 14?), but he may be a player that puts the region on notice this year." on page 1 of this thread and  my 1st post about Rimmer on page 1 was meant toward him or her in regards to Caleb Rimmer.

I disagree.  Your High School coach is where your recruiting should originate.  Your AAU team in the summer should be in place  to supplement what is being built in your High School program.  If the high school coach is doing his or her job, they will be the major driver of a player’s recruitment.  I did not say that he needs Ashland.  I said that Russell needs to play good teams to get better.  Stop making it an Ashland thing.  You spun that out of context. This young man is a good player.  It would be a shame if he doesn’t get to play state caliber teams during the season.  Run from no one in the season.

This is unequivocally false.
