In fact, if I didn't know better, I would say in his press conference yesterday that he was deliberatly drawing attention to the similarities between his offensive mindset and Petrino's- he talked about multiple sets, plays run from different formations to disguise intent. He talked about the importance of a serious commitment to the running game, and to stretch the field vertically. That's what Louisville fans want and expect, and it's what Louisville's recruited for the past 4 years.

January 10, 200719 yr Back to the topic.......... he seems like a very solid choice and a coach who can be counted on being here for the long haul. maybe not as flashy as BP but someone who will be consistant and solid and won't be interviewing after evry season. Problem we have now is repainting the "Petrino's Athletic Support's " bus again.
January 10, 200719 yr How was BP flashy? He ran some reverses, but not a lot. He had that WR pass in the OB, but he hardly reinvented it. Petrino was known for efficiency and setting up his play calling well, not for being flashy.

Since you feel free to call our coach names I researched some of your posts and found out you sound like thats the way you respond to people you don't like...by name calling. I'll be glad to show you my research, but I won't. Did Ricky P "Crawl" back to the Cards? I'll say no, Look man our coach did not put his tail, or crawl to Alabama. January 11, 200719 yr Former UK special teams coach Mark Nelson is coming to UL. He was at Baylor with Morris, I htink he may have gotten fired there and ended up at Tulsa. Not positive, but heard he is coming to UL. Mark Nelson DID NOT get fired at Baylor. He made the move to Tulsa because Coach Kragthorpe gave him the title of Co-Defensive Coordinator. I would love to see him back in this area. His Special Teams while at UK set several school records and some NCAA records! Having guys like Derek Abney and Glen Pakulak helped tremendously but he definitely teaches the details!!!
