I have been digging through archives to find missing region baseball scores from 1976-1997, the lost years before KHSAA online scoreboard. If any of you have any of the following information please post or PM me. Baseball regions were really scrambled until 1986, so they were not all like the typical basketball regions, making it hard to find.  Here are Regions 1-8

@The Professor any help on any missing items?

I'm pretty sure in 1976 that Grant co. was knocked out of the 10th region first round by Fleming county.We were one of the favorites in the tenth until we ran into a pitcher named Tim Ramey. Not sure if I`m spelling that correct, but he sent us back to Dry Ridge.

@DeaconjimIt looks like Fleming Co beat Grant Co 5-1 in semis, but I don't have Grant County's first round opponent. For the 10th 1976 tournament I have. The tournament was at Lewis Co

I was pretty sure we lost in the first round to Fleming. I remember it was in Vanceburg. We were going to stay over in Aberdeen if we won. It was a long ride home.

Have you been to the KHSAA archives at the EKU library?  I went down there once to look at Brooksville/Bracken County stuff from the 40s and 50s.  

@ukwildcat2000you have some teams in the 15th and 16th regions listed in the wrong region.

@16thBBall Fan No I don't, one would think but the baseball region numbers were jacked up from 1976-1985, with teams being scattered all over. Traditionally, those are the 15th and 16th schools, I thought the same thing too, but they were numbered opposite back then. I've done very extensive research and I have no idea why they were numbered that way from 76-85 but they were. Prior to 1976 there was only 8 baseball regions statewide.

I don't know if will help or not but we had a 1976 class reunion of sorts about a month ago. Four or Five of my teammates verified what I had told you previously. Grant County was beaten by Fleming in the first round of the regional at Lewis Co.
