Maybe they are one of those teams that plays to the competition so why did well in scrimmages but not as well against teams played so far.

Is this the tightest top 5 teams in 6A in recent memory?

As TP94 says, the schedule tells that story. Strength of schedule is in many ways more important than wins and losses in telling how good a team is. If GRC had played Douglass, Boyle County and Scott County, I think GRC has three losses just like Bryan Station.
