I certainly didn’t mean to imply a Championship was guaranteed. I don’t even feel appearance in the finals is a given. I catch a lot of grief for my negativity, but it’s really just “cautious optimism” that comes from witnessing many great Tiger teams turn in their equipment the Monday after Thanksgiving.

This loss brings Beechwood down to Earth and serves has a reminder they are not all that and a bag of chips at this point in time. 

And snake, I hope it works out where Beechwood and Mayfield meet in the 2A finals.

There is no doubt in my mind Beechwood will be fine.  Nothing about the loss to CovCath changes that for me.

Kudos to Covington Catholic, if they play all year like they did against Beechwood they are a title contender.
