January 7, 200719 yr Ole Miss sure seemed like they forced a lot of shots. Solid win to start off the SEC. Nice to see the 3 Juniors carry the load.
January 7, 200719 yr Not the fourty point drumming it was last year, but still good to pick up a win in the conference opener. I think the rise of competitiveness for Ole Miss falls directly back on AK. Kennedy has done a terrific job already for the Rebels, and they played a hard fought game. Crawford showed up today and had a very nice game, assuring what I've said and thought all along...... our two best weapons are Morris and Crawford, and they need the ball in their hands. Nice win, hopefully starting the Cats on their way to a lot of success playing their SEC schedule. Ole Miss was 11-3 heading into conference play last year and won their first SEC game at Bama. The problem with Ole Miss the last few years has begun once they get into conference play. After a 3-0 start in conference play OM only won 1 game in their last 14 conference games. That ultimately sunk Barnes. Lest we forget OM played UK tough in the opening round of the SEC Tourney last year in Nashville.
January 7, 200719 yr Nice win for UK. Its very important that this team takes care of business and beats the teams we are supposed to beat. I understand we may get upset, but hopefully no more than once. I feel like we can win some of our tough games as well. I feel good about LSU at home for one. But we are also going to play UF twice, UT twice, along with Ark and Alabama on the road. Im looking forward to every game now. They are all important!
January 8, 200719 yr Solid offensive performance. Terrible defensive performance against penetration. RM needs to figure out how to play the high screen. Doing nothing is not an option. If Todd Abernathy is killing them with penetration , what will Florida's guards do? Good to see Joe C light it up. Never throw the ball inside to Sheray. He's best on the perimeter and finding the open man or knocking down the occasional 3. Did I actually see someone try to lob him the ball? It sure would be nice to see some blocking out once.
January 8, 200719 yr Nice to see Joe C showing up big, they need that, and an occasional cameo by Perry would be a nice addition. OleMiss has a scrappy bunch, they played hard but you could tell they were outmanned. UK should be in the top 25, they are on a nice streak currently, winning streaks are nice, they can really build confidence for a team that's had a rough history.
