How did you come to that conclusion? McDavid had his 8th double double of the season and you say he didnt play well? That doesn't make sense to me.

Thomas was exceptional tonight.

The same guy in the front the same in the middle and the same in the back. Do you guys have like a Pres,Vice Pres,Vice Vice Pres,Vice Vice Vice Pres,and so on.What happens if the last guy shows up first? Or the first guy falls down.

They are a Triple A school from West Virginia. CK. Vinson and Buffalo-Wayne went together.

McDavid is a real blue collar player. He is not flashy as is Matt. He always seems to be the right place at the right time and, therefore, gets his points and rebounds. I don't believe that he made or even took a shot, other than foul shots which he missed, that were not directly under the basket. He is a valuable player but his contributions will usually go unnoticed.

 

However, last night, the difference was Matt- offensively and defensively. Off night for Matt and Ashland loses. If Barker has a good night (last night he didn't), Fairview can beat Ashland.

Who is the head coach at Ashland Wilcox or Biggs? Last night it looked liked Wilcox was doing most of the on floor adjustments and coaching. Is he the man behind the throne so to speak.

I'm sure that both Biggs and Wilcox would tell you that it is Buddy Biggs' team. Like all good coaching staffs, if Wilcox (as an assistant) has input for a player, he will give it. If it is something that Biggs' disagrees with, they will resolve the issue behind closed doors, and then be back on the floor for the next practice or game, working together to make the team as strong as they can.

 

That is how good coaching staffs work. A head coach that does not allow his assistants to have a voice is, in effect, saying "I know everything there is to know, and I see everything there is to see". You don't see that very often, and head coaches with that attitude don't tend to last too long.

 

I've watched three Ashland games under Biggs this year, and I haven't seen anything that made me think he isn't "driving the bus".

Coach Biggs lets his assistance voice their opinion. If they see something wrong on the floor that Biggs doesn't see, they shouldn't hesitate to say something to the player or to Coach Biggs.

Coach Wilcox is a fine and seasoned coach. He is a definite plus for Ashland.
