I picked Mason by 10, but there is no way I can say I'm not suprised by the end result. I would agree with a few people on here that Mason isn't THAT much better than Brossart.

 

It's going to be a great rematch in a couple weeks, what a fun game to watch if you enjoy just hard nosed defensive basketball. Some poor shooting here and there, but fun to see both teams just beat each other up and leave it out on the floor.

Mason gave their A-1 performance on defense tonight. Congrats to them. Setty is a stud. Give him an open look and it is good night sweetheart, money in the bank.

I can' t imagine why Brossart's announcers were complaining about the refs, they got by with a lot of fouls down in the paint (Cooper). At one point Setty had 3 guys laying on top of him and no foul was called. Mason County played their best defensive game of the season and it is about time!!!

 

Highfield was correct the coach is a small guy (size wise) and I don't recall his name either. He was however complaining to the refs at every opportunity. At times Pawsat couldn't breathe without a foul being called and Middleton was almost tackeled on several occasions with no fouls called.

 

Brossart will no doubt bounce back in time for the All A! Go Royals

I beleive that it is no big deal. Mason played their best that they can play on defense tonight. Brand new season starts with district play. This game has no outcome on the game that could possibly happen in March. I promise you this, Brossart knows they didn't give Mason thei best shot tonight.

 

Brossart only let ONE QUARTER get away from them. Outscored by 16 in the second quarter.

I believe they are talking about BBHS getting all the calls and are aloud to be very physical without getting fouls called on them.:lol: :lol:

Highfield is correct about Coach Code's conduct after the game. After he hastly left the court, there was some discussion with Brossart's other Coaches and Mason's coaching staff. And this was not the first time because he did the very same thing after the lost at Lexington Carholic. That is the only two times I have seen Brossart play. Don't know what he does after a win?????????

 

I thought Mason would win, i think they are the team to beat. As to what he does after a win, he smiles from ear to ear. I think i remember Code and former Coach Biggs from PC having an issue and Code not shaking his hand. Maybe the PC group remembers.

I remember and there is a lot more to that than most know and has nothing to do with this game.

Brossart will be fine, they couldn't hit shots, Mason did. Mason played very well, Brossart didn't. There's no doubt in my mind Brossart can still beat Mason, but they need to work on things. Congrats to the Royals. And anyone who knows Coach Code knows he's a class act, it was probably made out of frustration, not out of classlessness if it happened. He probably didn't even realize it, lay off the man...

I have watched this team play twice. In both games, I have seen your players hammer and bang us to death and call nothing. We get a touch foul and end it with players on the bench. I don't know why they call it that way. i just wish it would be the same on both ends. Even 1 of the officals have called both games. He did the same way both nights. Don't misunderstand be, I am not saying you don't have a great team. I just don't understand why officals are favoring your big guys?
