Mason County 56 Brossart 33

Don't read to much into it was a very impressive win tonight by a good team.Great defensive effort by Mason tonight and they did this with Darius Miller on the bench most of the 1st half in foul trouble.I will be the 1st to say it and im a Mason fan there not 23 points better than Brossart the next time they play.I respect Brossart a lot and there program and people ,But there little head coach was very unsportsmanlike after this game. When the 2 teams shook hands he just walked very fast past everybody straight for the locker room.Coach O'Hearn went to shake his hand and say something to him and he darted right by him Coach O'Hearn just stoped and looked like HUH.I know he was frustrated with his teams shooting but it don't set a good example for HIS players.Again congrats to both teams and good luck.:dancingpa

I sure didn't expected the outcome of this game. Thought it would be a barn burner. BB is a much better team than they showed tonight. Still think the region is a 3 team race.

Congrats to Mason Co on a very impressive win. The defense gave BB fits and held BB to only 1 Fg in the first half.

I remember last year during the regular season GRC went to the Field House and beat Mason by 16...then Mason won the region. Point being anything can happen during the season , but it is the games in March that count the most.

Best of luck to both of these teams the rest of the season.

I'm sure you are looking into it to much. Brossart is one of the classiest programs in that state. And to say Little head coach is pretty "unsportsmanlike" if you ask me.

:fire: I agree, that is NOT right. Come on now, these are highschool boys he is coaching. They learn from example, and their coach is the best example (or should be) of how they should act before, during, and after games. No wonder we have such bad sports in professional sports!

Happend right in front of me if you could have saw the look on O'Hearn face like whats up.And yes i agree Brossart is a classy program i believe i said that and thats what surprises me so much.

Three games in three days took its toll on Brossart tonight. They got tired at the end of the 2nd quarter, and really were dragging by the 4th.

Only time it looked like Brossart may have had a chance; score was 42-25 Mason and Brossart had three FTs. Made the first two, make the third, set up your pressure, get a steal - you never know. Instead, FT missed, Miller slams one home, Scott steals the inbounds pass, makes a three-point play and it's a 20-point lead, ballgame.

Cooper was the only offense early, hitting 5 free throws; took Broosart 12 minutes to hit their first basket. I thought the Royals played much tougher defense tonight. Kidney had a hard time shaking loose for any shots; 1 basket and 9 points in the first half for BB as a team kind of tells the story.

To their credit, BB did hit 2 or 3 treys in the 3rd quarter, but Mason seemed to have an answer every time. Setty can be deadly when he gets an open look.

Back to the drawing board for BB; they have to find some answers for the teams that can out-quick them. I wouldn't worry too much about them, they had a poor shooting night and Mason was just a little fresher.

Mason gets a chance against the #1 team in the state; at Scott County next Friday I think.

Gee, not enough class to shake hands huh. Surprised? not really.

And you said that doesn't suprise you. Why?

I will have to disagree with that statement.
