What happened at Elliott Co. anyway? According to one of our editor's they were struggling, and now their last two have been by a large margin!!!

I wouldnt say that they were struggling they just werent playing there best ball before Christmas and what team is that makes a run during tournment time.

Some of the parents at Elliott my think Maynard should not start for Elliott. However, I think he could and would start for any team in the region, besides Elliott County. Maybe Coach Mays is getting to much advise from his parents.

one rurmor about maynard not starting anymore is that one of the other players threatened to quit if his playing time didn't increase. some how over night it did increase. :confused:

 

 

Or The Coach has seen that defense will help you. The team that has started the last 2 games is the best defensive team he can put on the floor. Maynard is not a bad player and he can help the team off the bench with a few minutes here and there and maybe knock some 3's down.

Maynard is one heck of a shooter. That's all I know.

I don't know about that because the kid who took Maynard spot was in foul trouble in the 1st quarter against East Carter so Maynard probably doubled his minutes and didnt hurt Elliott at all. As far as Green is concerned he didn't play at all in the last 2 games so maybe the team played better with his replacement maybe not Just my opinion.

I think Maynard played well at East and I think him being put on the bench helped him out and got his attention a little.

He is a great Free Throw shooter and shoots ok behind the arc. He is ok on the boards and ok ball handler. He doenst pass the ball very well and cant gaurd a telephone pole on D.

Wow! Why all the hate? He is shooting over 40% behind the arc, so I guess thats ok, and whoever he has guared this season has been held in check.

In the games that I have seen he has been a liabilty on defense and ball handling. I think Maynard has had good year but I think he is best coming off the Bench and giving a few minutes hear and there. That is my opinion that and 99 cents will get you a cup of coffee at McDonalds.:thumb:
