This game features the Desales Colts (last season 2-9) vs the Central Hardin Bruins (last season 8-4).

Offensively, DeSales returns 4 starters including Luke Pfaadt (33 rushes, 238 yards, two touchdowns), to the backfield as DeSales's top offensive weapon. Blocking for him are seniors Carson Mattingly and junior Landon Blount. This team will be young with some sophomores and potentially some freshman getting some playing time.

Defensively Desales returns only 3 starters from a season ago. Defensive lineman James Glover-Tyson, junior linebacker Cole Mays and Pfaadt are the Colts' three returning defensive starters from last season. Mays ranked sixth on the team in tackles, while Glover-Tyson, a senior, added 13 tackles and a sack. These returning starters will look to have breakout seasons while some of the younger guys get some needed experience

Former Male offensive coordinator Mike Jackson knows how to win games from his days at Male. This young and inexperienced team will take some time to develop though.

Central Hardin returns TE/DE Adam Hobbs (6'5" 270) brother OL/DL Andrew Hobbs (6'5" 280), QB/DB Zachary Spurrier (6'3" 210), OL/DL Tucker Walters (5'11" 280), and speedster CB/RB Terry Brooks to a lineup that only lost 11 seniors to graduation.

Central Hardin has depth, size, and speed that it hasn't had in recent years. This combination as well as a favorable schedule, should keep them in most games this season.

The Central Hardin defense should be the strong point of this team as the offensive skill position players develop necessary chemistry as the season rolls on.

I see Central Hardin winning this matchup and pulling away in the second half.

I see Central Hardin with a running clock.
Maybe I’m wrong but we will see.

If not a running clock, they should at least win comfortably. As HCP said above, the Bruins have depth and size. That combo should take a toll on DeSales, especially after halftime.
