Cowher Retires

Featured Replies

Bill Cowher has informed his assistant coaches he is stepping down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers after 15 seasons.

Cowher wanted to take a week to make his decision, and the Steelers were willing to give him until next Monday or Tuesday to make a decision. But after talking over the situation with the family and the Steelers, Cowher decided to move up his announcement until Friday.

No suprise here............will GT's prophecy come true?

And for the record, he officially retired last year around mid-February or so, after the Steelers won the Super Bowl. Mailed it in this year.............

I sure will miss the Jaw. Nothing last forever, so lets find a new man. I have faith in the Rooneys.

He'll be back coaching again in no time.

Someone in the other thread said in a year or two he'd be with the Panthers...

Think Fox will be gone from there? I don't think he'll get fired from carolina...he's a good coach he'll have that team back in no time. I think Cleveland, Detroit and Buffalo would be the three teams possibly looking.

You won't be missed by me. But I do respect you.

They just mentioned something on ESPN regarding Miami going after him right away.....I doubt he coaches next season if he isn't with the Steelers though.

I doubt he'll be back next season but I'm sure he'll be back for the 2008 season somewhere.

I sure hope he doesnt come back to coach the Browns IMO that would be bad for him.

I don't think so. As a matter of fact I think the Bengals raid the Steelers, and that Dick LeBeau comes back to CIncy as DC.

Don't get my hopes up like that.
