Is this the same team that was on ESPN a month ago that was ranked #2 in the nation? Didn't Jodie Meeks play for Norcross last season?

 

They will be in Lexington this weekend (Jan 5-6) playing games with Madison Central, Lexington Catholic, Bryan Station, South Laurel, and other teams from FL, GA, and LA in the Nissan on Nicholasville Shootout. Should be some great games.

Norcross will be a LOAD for any team in Kentucky from watching them against Oak Hill.

Hats off to Coach Salsman and Lex. Catholic for attracting these teams to Lexington to play ball. There are a few top teams. I pasted the schedule:

I'm going both days!!! Sounds like I'm going to see some good players. Going to root for Madison Central!!!

Norcross is loaded with talent they have 3 division signees who are seniors in Gani Lawal (Georgia Tech), Jordan DeMercy (FSU) and Tony Neysmith (Oklahoma). They also have other players that will definitely be division 1 players in the future. I doubt any team from KY they'll face this weekend will give them any trouble.

I didn't get a chance to post the link, since I wasn't a member yet. But if you want to see Kentucky's new signee from Arlington Country Day play, you can go to the Beach Ball Classic website and see their game against Scott County. All the winners bracket games were archived, don't know how long they will be up.

 

The only Scott games will be their first and second round games, but it's better than nothing. I have followed ACD for 5 years now since I used to live in Jacksonville, FL. They are one of the top teams in the country for a reason and should be a great game against Catholic.

The kid is an absolute stud, and too bad he couldn't be like Randolph Morris and be lured out of state and into the bluegrass. He is the type of guy I would love to see playing down low with Randolph, Lawai is a freak of an athlete.

The Marietta Wheeler team has JJ Hickson, the #15 overall player and #3 PF in this year's senior class. Also playing will be AJ Stewart of Jacksonville's Arlington Country Day, and he's the #26 PF in this year's class. There's going to be some top-flite talent there, and I'm looking forward to being there.

There were plenty of seats tonight. Maybe three quarters full at best.

Man it was fun!!! Watched a lot of B-ball tonight. Some of these kids can really ball. If you like basketball this was the place to be. Going back tomorrow!!

Saw the highlights of Lewis tonight,, looks like he's a big talented kid.
