Shannon Hoskins' Perry Central squad enters the Sweet 16® for the first time since 2019.  The Commodores fell short in that Tournament's opening round by 3 points.  If Perry is going to advance past the opening day in 2022, it will have a steeper hill to climb than 3 seasons ago.  The state's top-ranked team, 10th Region Champion George Rogers Clark, comes into the Tournament undefeated against Kentucky competition.  The Cardinals only loss of the season was to Dorman (SC) almost a week before Christmas.  GRC won the 40th District & 10th Region Tournaments by an average margin of 42 ppg.  In fact, the Cards have only played in a half-dozen games all season long decided by less than 10 points.

Can Perry Central pull the upset or will GRC continue to roll?

    I don't think this game is close but don't let the final score distract from the fact that Perry County Central has a very nice club and might could have won a first round game against someone with a slightly better draw.
