January 3, 200719 yr he has been hurt twice in his entire career. His entire 3 year career? Twice in 3 years in College? Okay -- I wouldn't take the risk if I am assured of going in the Top 10. He's missed time the last 2 seasons...that's not misleading, it's a trend.

January 3, 200719 yr he has been hurt twice in his entire career. You bring this up a lot, but he's only been there for 3 years. When you're that much bigger & stronger than the rest of the kids in high school (and before), you don't get hurt as often. Brian has had 2 fairly serious injuries in 3 years. I wouldn't call that ''injury prone'', but I don't know that I'd be willing to risk millions of dollars either.

I'm not sure there's any point in considering his career prior to college...obviously it's good that he never got injured, but I doubt he ever got beat up physically during any of his high school games, as he probably never got hit that much due to a combination of things such as 1) he was a man among boys in high school when it came to reading defenses and getting rid of the ball, 2) Trinity was almost always the superior team on the field, and sometimes far, far superior, and 3) high school just isn't as physical plain and simple. These two injuries may just be an abberation, but if you're an NFL GM, it has to be something you'd at least think about. In two years as a starter he has suffered a torn ACL and torn ligaments in his thumb...

Whoa big fella, I'm not implying that he's damaged goods. I'm saying if you're a guy that has been hurt the last two years, and you can be a Top 10 pick (at worst), why risk it happening again next year? I don't think for a second that he's anything but 100% right now (the thumb splint notwithstanding ). :thumb:
