January 3, 200719 yr :thumb: He still had it though. Thats a bad call and could make this a whole different game. But the ball was moving. Tough judgment call, and if it wasn't a fumble it would most likely also be upheld...
January 3, 200719 yr Louisville's defense is playing well. The offense has gotten hung up on execution errors. Urrutia dropped a sure TD early and the Anthony Allen fumble ended the drive. I feel like Wake is a bag just sitting there ready to be punched. The Cards offense just has to land a few!
January 3, 200719 yr But the ball was moving. Tough judgment call, and if it wasn't a fumble it would most likely also be upheld... I agree. The runner did not have full possession of the ball.

I feel like Wake is a bag just sitting there ready to be punched. The Cards offense just has to land a few! I agree, but UL's offensive line can put that first half in file 13. Wake is running a lot of twists similar to Rutgers, nothing fancy, and the line, George Bussey in particular is getting waxed. Brohm can't follow through on several passes.
January 3, 200719 yr Wake fumbles, UL recovers.. Wake player was definitely down though. It depends on your view of possession. The ball was coming out as the knee hit. It was not clutched in his arm. The call was a fumble so it had to be 100% clear that the call was wrong. It wasn't. Fumble was the right call IMO.
January 3, 200719 yr I agree. The runner did not have full possession of the ball. The replay wasn't conclusive to overturn anything. If they had called no fumble on the field and then reviewed that replay, they wouldn't have overturned a no fumble call either (I don't think a no fumble call is reviewable, just saying that the replay wasn't very conclusive).

I agree that there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the call..However the original call was still wrong.
