My vote goes to the Bengals...or the Jags or the Steelers.

Denver has playoffs in hand and they can't beat a bad 49ers team.

 

Bengals - plagued by inconsistent play all year long. (Chargers game, TB game, Denver game, ATL game, and last but not least the PIT game)

 

JAX - after starting so hot, they fade into the darkness at the end of the year. Wonder what would have happened if Leftwich was in.

Schedule and injuries. Boo hoo. That's the NFL. Are you trying to tell me they surged into the playoffs? They crawled to the finish. To someone that isn't a homer, they were not as good as advertised...

:lol: You must not have watched them then. They were 6-2 when healthy...and 2-6 after the injury bug struck. The injuries started piling up at Houston (Lost Umenyiora, Strahan, Toomer, Petitgout). That's when the losing started too.

The Bengals lost 3/5 of the best line in football for an extended period of time, and they didn't get in because of their play on the field. Much like the Bengals, I don't count NYG as a major disappointment because they lost some major parts of their core, but they were not what was expected. You listed the same style team as your biggest let down, and want a free pass for your boys. No way that crawling into a weak NFC playoff make their season more than what it was...

The Seahawks won the worst division in football with a 9-7 record... They would've had to try to NOT make the playoffs.

I agree that neither were what was expected. I believe a few more touted the Bengals as superbowl contenders though, while many thought the G-Men would struggle under the tough schedule (which happened). I never claimed I wanted a free pass for the Giants. I claimed that a team who made the playoffs for the 2nd straight time IMO is not a disapointment. They may have struggled at times, but when they had to win to get in...they won. Unlike some teams.
