? Final from Fort Thomas per The Scoreboard.

Congratulations to Coach Walker and his Lloyd Juggernauts! This was one serious signature win for a team having a great season, and wanting to throw their hat in the ring, and be a respected part of the discussion. With this win, they now certainly are. This win proves that they are for real!

Well it shows that if you cannot get stops on defense you cannot win games.  Interesting that Coach L sat Barth and Harris the last 5 minutes of the game when it was still in reach.  Watched game on you tube so not sure what if any issue there was.

Yeah, I'm eating crow for lunch tomorrow.  In the prediction thread I had Highlands winning by 18 plus.  Totally did not see this happening.

Highlands doesn't play any defense, and Lloyd has enough dudes that if you let them just run their stuff, they are going to be dangerous.  Teams that have sat down and guarded Lloyd have handled them pretty well, but if you want an AAU-style game with the Juggs, you may be in for a long night.  If you are physical on the defensive end with them, they really struggle.

It is amazing to me that as tough-minded as Kevin was as a player, this team just seems disinterested in focusing on getting stops.  Crazy to me.

Holy Cross, Lloyd, Walton Verona, and Highlands are on the Loyola Marymount plan this year, super fun to watch, but going to be a real challenge in March.
