Covington Holy Cross 50 Lyon County 33 (All A Classic quarterfinals)

Featured Replies

The Indians were led in scoring by Julia Hunt.  They had a 14 point halftime lead which the Lions cut to 7 at the end of the third quarter but the Indians opened the fourth with a 6-0 run and didn’t look back.  Once again they were able to clear the bench getting all the players in.  Semifinals tomorrow at noon against Owen County.

Saw the box score on Twitter.

a) saw Lyon Co's coach's daughter, a scrappy 7th grader, got some run today for the Lady Lions.  Good experience for the young lady for the future.

b) Julia Hunt is so good.

c)  Holy Cross really struggled from the perimeter, 2 for 20, they will struggle to beat Owen County if they don't connect on more of those shots beyond the arc.  Tough to live by the three in college arenas for High School teams, the shooting back-drop is a lot different than they are used to.

Just imagine how much they would’ve won by if they hit like they did on Wednesday. I really think I can count on one hand the times you’ve complimented the girls from Holy Cross. They just keep playing and finding ways to win. Let’s Go Indians!! Two more to go!

They would have lost without Julia. The three point shooting was terrible and layups too but when your only offense is get it to Julia and shoot three pointers, you have a tremendous risk of losing the game. Could be tough tomorrow.

Sorry you feel that way, I actually am a huge fan of Coach Arlinghaus and the Indians.   I was only stating a factual statistic from a box score.

I said before the tourney I thought Holy Cross had a great chance to come out of the top of the bracket, and I still absolutely think they win tomorrow.  Sunday's game will likely be a toss-up, but I can promise you that I'll be 100% all-in for the Indians.

I will try to word things more delicately, I truly hate that you have that impression, it is quite contrary to my feelings.
