We have seen in College Football this year that for the right place and the right price any coach would be willing to move on to another school. With Josh Heird's connection to Villanova would Jay Wright be willing to make the move from the Big East to the ACC? Probably Not after 20 years he is probably pretty comfortable, but with the connection that would be the first call I'd make.

Also if they are considering a coach with a questionable background in Bruce Pearl, another guy probably easier to bring in for less money would be Sean Miller. He also is a former Xavier guy with ties to the midwest area that would probably be "affordable." Just throwing some names out there.

Louisville will probably not act too quickly, and save the decision until after the season with Mike Pegues as the interim for the rest of the year

  • I’d say they are working on a mutual separation agreement.

  • Bruce Pearl and Kenny Payne are the top two at the moment. Pearl would immediately inject a spark back into the program and he can obviously coach. He's a big personality and you need that here.
