RockPride
LSURock brought up a good point in a different post. What happens, if UK, with the schedule upgrade, doesn't make it to a bowl game? Will that be looked at as a step backwards? Will Coach Brooks, be on the hot seat yet again? What say you?
RockPride
Here's my take on the situation, I think it could be catastrophic for UK, if I were Brooks, I would pound the pavement on recruiting next week, and get the midnight oil burning all the way through next season. Next season, COULD be magical for UK, but could be more destructive than anything else. You see if UK misses a bowl next season, it validates the opinions of dumbing down this year's schedule, compounded with them getting pounded by the graduation bug next year, it could lead to a nightmarish '08 campaign. In reality, Brooks will be signing his extension next week, and the hot seat will have seemed to be cool. But he has a one season tryout, IMO...it'll be, bowl or bust in 2007. NineOh
If you're saying 6 at the "very most" you obviously would be surprised if they won just 6. That isn't going to happen. There are 5 that they absolutely will not lose (EKU, Temple, FAtl, MSU, Vandy). I'll stick with m 8-4 prediction in another thread. By no means am I a fan that thinks this bowl win over Clemson makes us world beaters but next year will be a better more experienced team than this year. Since when can UK say that MSU and Vandy are "absolutely will not lose" games? Cat fans must have very short memories. On the recruiting front, what 4 or 5 stars are the Cats now in on that they weren't before their bowl win? I predict it will be back to basement for the Cats in 07.
