Rose Hill 67 Minford 56

I must admit I'm not sure if my score is correct. I know Rose Hill won by 13, or 11. I'm sure himmelfarb will correct me in a bit. The Lady Royals raced out to a huge 37-15 halftime lead, and then had to survive a nice 3rd quarter rally by the Lady Falcons. The Lady Falcons made a couple of nice adjustments at the half, and the Lady Royals played some not so smart basketball to let the Lady Falcons back into the game. I believe 7 points is as close as the Lady Falcons got in the 2nd half. Congrats to the Lady Royals on winning the tournament, and to Britt Faulkner, Lindsay "Chesse" Adkins, and Laura Terry on making the All Tournament Team, and to Emily Queen on taking home tournament MVP honors. I'm sure himmelfarb will have all the stats. Congrats once again to the Lady Royals. I know Wireman will be really disappointed when he/she sees the score. ;):D

This score really is a surprise to me. I honestly thought Minford was a better team than Rose Hill. Maybe the losses earlier in the season had me thinking that Rose Hill was a little weaker than many though. Are the Lady Royals getting things together now ? Congratulation to the girls on winning the tournament and to Emily Queen on her MVP honors.

RHCS 67, Minford 56

Queen: 32 pts, on 15/23 shooting (0/1 3ptrs), 2/2 free throws, 19 rebs

Terry: 13 pts, on 5/12 shooting (2/3 3ptrs), 1/1 free throws, 11 rebs, 7 asts

Faulkner: 14 pts, on 7/17 shooting, 0/2 free throws, 4 rebs

Adkins: 4 pts, 4/4 free throws, 4 rebs

Dundon: 4 pts, on 2/5 shooting, 0/1 free throws, 4 rebs

Another nice win for Rose Hill.

E. Queen's numbers night in and night out are amazing. Congratulations on the MVP award and congrats to the players selected to the All-Tourney Team.

Seems like the Lady Royals are on a roll. I love to see the small schools do well.:thumb:

Good win by Rose Hill. I feel bad for my cousin.

Congratulations to Coach Pam Euton and the Lady Royals. Congratulations to Emily, Laura, Cheese, and Britt on the awards and to a well earned tourney championship. I'd also like to recognize Miss Dundon, as well as all of the supporting cast for their victory! Good job girls!:thumb:

I don't know who she is, but we were able to spend a few minutes with several Minford players (one we've known since she was 10 years old) and they are a good bunch. Not only are they a fine basketball team, but a group of personable and polite young women.

I was just carrying on my joke from another thread about my 28th cousin. I don't really know anyone on Minford's team.

I was serious when I said its a great win by Rose Hill, however.

Great game by Queen with double double and Terry with it to.

Nice free throw shooting Cheese.

Hey...there you are. I tried to get the announcer to call you to the scorer's table today, but no such luck. Didn't you hear me? I was actually calling for you...when Emily hit the floor!!;)

Today's game was in my view the best that the Emily and Luara have played...together. Laura scored all her points in the 1st quarter and then dished out 7 assists. Emily's 32 and 19 was the kind of game she should have had against Minford. Today's effort was the best use of our size thus far against a team that handled Boyd County's size and strength quite well.

A great game. Both teams played very well. Minford looks to have a quality group who really know how to work together and who never gave up. Great effort.

Good win and confidence booster for the Lady Royals. As the leaders keep leading, others seem to be maturing. Good sign for RH.

Good experience and hard work will continue to improve many of the younger players on this team.

Although foul trouble again plagued Terry, all were able to finish the game.

Keep up the hard work and congratulations on a well deserved tournament win and the well deserved individual honors.

Nicely put...thanks.

When the one at half court lol? No pun intended.;)

She had a handful of massive awsome rebounds. Laura had a couple nice ones as well
