Boyd Co. 59 Rowan Co. 48

This was the 1st Rowan game I've seen and what I came away with is that Matt Daniel, despite being a very talented player, tries to take over the game and it takes too much away from his teammates. Maybe I just noticed because he was forcing some shots and missing them tonight but thats just my POV.

I agree with you on this.

Don't get me wrong about Matt Daniel though. He is a tough player, I've watched him play for years, and when he's on he's almost impossible to stop. But when he's off, it can get ugly.

So,,,Rowan had all of their players? No one out for one reason or another? Just Curious!

Nice one...:thumb:

Nice win for the Lions. They continue to improve and will be a tough opponent come tournament time.

I watched Rowan twice in the AIT. I look at Matt Daniel and see a typical shooter - when he's hitting, he's the best option you have on the floor. When he's cold, he can still help by distributing the ball. The old saying applies to him, just like all kids that can stroke it that well - they can shoot you into a ball game or they can shoot you out of one. The bottom line is, he's on the floor to take shots, and that is what he should do.

You also have to give credit to Boyd's defense. It's tough to score when you have someone playing inside the same jersey you are wearing.

Just my .02 worth ...

I support my local teams just like you REDblood.

Only difference is I do it sensibly. I love my Lions, but dont believe they can beat anyone.:thumb:

So your saying they'll go 0-fer the rest of the season? Interesting.

This comment makes no sense to me. My opinions sway towards my favorite teams. My facts sway towards the best teams.

Hey I think it is great u support your local boys, but lets be honest Rowan is not going to live up to the hype with their existing leadership.

Just curious, but the D. Daniel on the Rowan roster isn't Coach Daniel's other son, Derek, is it?
