Clearly Vince and President Bendapudi had their differences.  But it was probably wise for Tyra to move on regardless.   He may love U of L in his heart, but a new president will want his own people in place.  At least Tyra is going where he is wanted, if he in fact is headed to FSU.

According to ESPN it won't be Tyra.  It's Michael Alford, ex FSU booster CEO.

I think he did a great job while there. He never got the support from the Jurich people and still succeeded. He will be hard to replace!

I agree. I don't think there's any legitimate reason for wanting him gone. You  hit the nail on the head, the Jurich loyalists were never going to accept him, and they are the ones that have been leading the charge on wanting Tyra gone. 

I was never under the impression Tyra was going to be "permanent." I always assumed he would leave at some point to go back to the private sector.
