I should have come over and said hi.  I think I know your general whereabouts in the stadium, but I didn't want to be asking every vendor if they were @MJAlltheWay24!

Sales have been good.  Crowd size and them winning has definitely helped.

Honestly the biggest difference, back in 2019 beers were $9.75 cash.  You can imagine how many of those transactions would go when someone bought two for $19.50.

Now beers are like $9.59 ($10.36 after tax I think).  People have three Tip % options, plus Custom or No Tip.  A decent amount click No Tip but the large majority just click a percentage.  So you can see how things would be a bit better for the beer man now, even with tips not being in cash.

There are way more vendors in PBS than at the start of the season and compared to 2019.  However, I'm always in the south endzone closest to the river or selling on the concourse behind it.  White guy with a small beard haha

How often/what percentage of the time do you get cash tips?  One of my other friends does your job too and she made sure all her Facebook friends knew how much cash tips were appreciated.

Pretty low at Bengals games and it was extremely low Sunday (felt like a lot of people were at PBS for the first time since COVID or Steelers fans that had no clue we were cashless).  It feels like almost a guarantee that if someone is not pleased with it being cashless, they are hitting that  "No Tip" button and leaving it at that.  Usually when it happens the most.

Vending is more lucrative now at Bengals games than it was in 2019 or earlier years and that's mainly because of the previous price point.  Now with cashless, the price point doesn't really matter.  I think it was in 2017, beers were $9 (2 for $18) which was great but then it went to $9.50 (2 for $19) and then $9.75 (2 for $19.50).  Literally just taking tips out of the vendors pocket with those price changes.

If you do the math, in 2019 when I would get basically a quarter tip per beer that's 2.56% (everyone once in a while someone would give you $21 for 2 beers but my tips went down drastically that year).  Now, they have those three programmed options, or custom, or no tip and all three of those options are a lot bigger than 2.56%.
