theguru Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 It may already be on the forum but was is the "history" behind the "Who Ya With" Boyle County chant? Who came up with it, how did it start, is there more to it than just those three words, what stories do you have to share about it?
Statsdontlie Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 I've heard they got the saying from Danville. Local Barber Jerry Farmer started it at Boyle, and he gives Danville credit that he stole the saying from Danville fans in the 90s. 2 1

BEChargers Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 Actually I think it started with a guy who would walk through the stands selling hot chocolate. I don't remember his name but he did it for years working for the band. 1

Rebel Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 Was Jerry Farmer one of the original Juggers? That's the first I've ever heard of the saying.

I'm thinking he started doing the chant around early 2000's after the juggers. 1

Any estimate on how many fulltime Juggers there have been over the years? The core of it seemed like a very small group to me, definitely less than 10.

Each had 2 jugs and the story I was told it was top secret as to how many pennies the lead jugger placed in each jug to get that one of a kind sound. As years went by they slowly left and fizzled out as time went by. They had Black and Gold top hats (Cat in the hat liked) and would be the first ones in the stands away or home to get good seats. They where at the Pikeville game in 1999 and Paducah Tilghman in 2001. Where ever the Rebels where the Juggers where there also. 3 1
Rebel Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Took me a little while to find it. I knew there was a thread in the vault somewhere. 1

BEChargers Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 The guy second from the left lived down the road from me growing up and was a really good football player for Boyle Co. in the late 70's early 80's. 1
