Tennessee 111 Texas 105

Nice comeback for the Vols.

Lofton had 8 points at the half.

Finishes with 35.

8-23 from the floor including 7-16 from 3.

12-13 from the FT line.

Add 11 boards to boot.

Wow.

By far the most entertaining college game I've seen this year.

Had to catch some on the radio and the UT color guy must have went to the Dick Vitale School of Broadcasting because he yelled everything he said, ended every other comment with 'BABY', and ended every sixth phrase with 'He is the man!'

Both of this teams will continue to get better and make some noise in March. Especially Texas, who started 4 freshman and will continue to learn the college game

That 3 he hit with under 20 seconds left was DEEEP!!!!!

They said it was a 27-footer.

We saw a few of those here in Maysville!

And why isnt he in UK blue??

Because he's in Tennessee orange..

Does this have to be asked every time his name is mentioned?

Its a shame that he doesn't play for the Cats (I love those Kentucky boys that play well for the Cats), but its time to let it go. Let's just be happy for Lofton and hope he has a great season - except when UT plays UK of course.

I understand why Tubby does not recruit Kentucky kids. Who would want someone like Lofton when we had such a talent as Rondo. LOL. I am all for nation wide recruiting but we need a mix of Kentucky kids.

I think that every Kentucky team should have a Kentucky kid on it (ie Richie Farmer, John Pelphrey, etc.)

Yeah why would we want a top 15 recruit over someone who was not even in the top 150. No one knew how he was going to turn out. He isnt you typical college guard. Hes a little slower and a litter slower and a little bit less athletic than many guys at his position. But he has found a way to get it done and has been great for the Vol's.

Like Preston Lemaster, Jarrod Cater, Josh Carrier. They are worked out/ are working out well.:sssh: :D

Lofton was unconscious the last 5 minutes of regulation.

Texas has to be the dumbest basketball team I've ever seen. Rick Barnes did an awful job of coaching down the stretch. Why when you have a 7 point lead with 2 minutes left are you shooting with 25 left on the shot clock????

You mean like Sears, Stockton, Tackett, Chiles, Carrier, and Lathrem?
