The Frederick Douglass Broncos make the trip across town this Friday night to take on the Generals of Lexington Lafayette at 6:30. These two teams have the exact opposite records the Broncos are 2-0 and the Generals are 0-2. Lafayette was totally dominated this past Friday by Scott County 41-0. The Generals only had 110 yards of total offense with 111 yards passing and a -1  yards rushing. Their defense allowed the Cardinals 417 total yards with 295 yards rushing and 122 yards passing.

The Generals are led on offense by quarterback Stephen Dawahare who through two games has thrown for 362 yards with 2 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Lafayette's top receivers so far this season are Tanner Pace and Lucas Doneghy. Pace through two games has close to 200 yards receiving and a touchdown, Doneghy has almost 150 yard receiving with a touchdown as well.

Frederick Douglass is coming off of a dominate win over Tates Creek on Friday night. The Borncos led 43-0 at the half and had a running clock with just over 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter. The Broncos racked up 365 yards of total offense most of which was done in about a quarter and a half. Douglass was able to get 62 players so varsity playing time in the game.

On offense Bronco quarterback Samuel Cornett had another good game. He was 10/13 passing for 218 yards with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. Cornett on the season has thrown for right at 400 yards with 5 touchdowns and no interceptions. The Douglass talented wide-receiver group was again led by Dane Key and Cameron Dunn. Key had 2 receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown. Dunn had 3 receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown as well. Ty Bryant led the Broncos in rushing with  just 2 carries but had 52 yards and a touchdown.

The Broncos defense had another excellent game with the Commodores, coming off only allowing Bryan Station 14 points in the opening week they held Tates Creek scoreless and only allowed 54 total yards. They allowed the Commodores 55 yards passing and -1 yards rushing. The defense was a group effort they had 11 tackles for loss with 3 sacks and a interception.

Lafayette like Tates Creek last week go into the game 0-4 all-time vs Douglass and will most likely fall to 0-5 after this Friday night. The Generals in those 4 prior games have been outscored 140-26. They have not scored on the Broncos since 2017. I look for this one to get ugly fast as well.
