The only movies I go to the theater to see are action movies. I don't see anything listed here that will get me to visit the movie house, including Top Gun 2.

Given the Covid movie climate it was ok.  That's about it.

I'm a little nervous about this one, because I reeeeeeeeally hope they aren't running a classic into the ground. They brought back the surviving members of the original cast - Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts - and the movie is going to be directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You for Smoking, Juno, Up in the Air), who is son of the original movie's director Ivan Reitman. They have been keeping pretty tight-lipped about the plot details.

The first trailer has been released, and they have the movie tapped for Summer 2020 release.
 

 

 

Took a hot minute, but it looks like this is one finally has an official release date on November 18th, along with a third trailer. Originally was slated to be released in Summer 2020.

Set for December 2020, it's still more than a year away. It's one of my favorite books of all time and Denis Villaneuve has assembled a really talented cast. I'm worried they all pale in comparison to Alejandro Jodorowsky's project that never saw the light of day, but I'm excited nonetheless.

Dune is another one of the movies originally slated for 2020 release that was struck by the "COVID delay". 

It's finally being released in theaters this Friday.
 

 

 

Saw Halloween Kills on Friday.  What a bloodbath.  Not as good as the 2018 film, but still very good.  My major complaint is with some really campy dialogue.
