OldRambler, You have nothing to apologize about. You stated in your first post that it was only your opinion. You have always been positive about Raceland athletics, the coaches and the kids that play. While there may have been some that were upset I bet there are several others that agree with your post. Your post about Raceland athletics has done nothing but give positive recognition to the program and kids, and as you have stated it is all about the kids. Raceland has a proud tradition. It is the people in the community,coaches, administration and the kids that make it what it is. Keep posting!! Remember, you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time. :thumb: If they are upset they will get over it. If not they can turn the channel.:sssh:

Thank you cville, I know that you understood my post and reasons and I just hope that there were others that did as well. Raceland has been blessed with very good kids/athletes in their programs and fans that support them. I will always post favorably on the Raceland kids(and the opponets kids/players) and it just upsets me when and if anyone questions that. I apologized for the way that post may had been read but I do not apologize for voicing my opinions as long as it is within BGP guidelines. The way I see it, anyone that knows me and what I am about will know this and those that don't then that is their problem, not mine.

I have quoted myself on this one bc it has come to my attention this morning that a couple of people were upset that I had stated "Raceland b./b. staff" not getting info out. I wanted to post again and say the I did word this wrong. I was meaning to say that the talk/discussion on bgp Raceland b.b.threads was not as much as some other sports at Raceland or other schools b.b, fans posting. That is all that I meant and for that I apologize. I will however continue to post on bgp/Raceland threads in the same positive manner that I always have. I have always promoted the Raceland kids and that is what it is really all about anyway. I will continue to post my feelings as long as it is in within the bgp guidelines that have been set. As for the person/persons (and they know who they are) that have given up my identity on here I really don't appreciate that either but will not get into that. GO RAMBLERS!!!!

 

Anybody who calls anyone at home over what they post on a message board is a pretty classless jerk anyway. Perhaps this person should be more concerned with other things this Holiday season then what oldrambler says on a message board he paid to be a part of. If you can't stand the heat...

Thanks for the support guys , I have had my message/pm file filled up today and tonight with support. I am glad that the Raceland fans that know me and some who don't have sent pm's, also the ones from fans of other schools. I will let this go now and do not want it to drag on and dominate the thread. It is about the kids, not the adults.

After reading through this thread, I would like to say that I beleive this tournament has grown into something of great prestige over the years. I also believe it's a relatively new tournament with awesome new facilities. I think the people and coaching staff has done more than an outstanding job in not only running the tournament but also getting teams from different locations to come to the communities of Raceland and Worthington. I like their format of keeping a certain number of 16th regional teams playing against the likes of many schools from throughout the state. Everyone in Ky. that is in the basketball circles of H.S. knows about the Derby Classic.

 

Also, I think the Rams have pulled off one of the regions best wins in their upset over highly rated Elliott Co. The Rams are always fundamentally sound and well coached. They have quality people in place and have high credibility throughout the area. I have enjoyed the people I've got to have known and especially some of their fans. Their facilities are a treat and people of Racleand-Worthington should be very proud of their hoops and athletics heritage.

 

I will be anxious to see them play at least once or twice this season. Best wishes to your Rams.
