Per the article, he played TE/LB for the Rockets under Al Starnes and was on their 2008 football team that made it to the 1A semifinals. He's a Kentucky State football alum, and coached their briefly as a graduate assistant before moving to an assistant coaching position at Webster County, coaching for two years under Ben Gore and Zach Lagrange. He returned to his alma mater for the 2017 season as a linebacker coach under Al Starnes and has been their defensive coordinator since 2018.
