Colonels_Wear_Blue Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Arnett has been the skipper at Barren County since 2016. He has had a 13-37 record as head coach for the Trojans, bringing the program their first winning season record since 2000 when they finished the 2019 season at 6-5.
Colonels_Wear_Blue Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 He's originally a Monroe County guy...played football there in the late 00s. The Lynn Camp job that's currently open would put him closer to his home. Warren Central is also nearby to Barren County. Paducah Tilghman and Ballard Memorial would both be a decent trip west for him from Barren.
know your role Posted March 11, 2021 Author Posted March 11, 2021 Arnett is leaving Barren for a job at Boyle County. He got his start working for Coach Haddixx at Corbin. He is taking Coach Hester’s old job 1

Monroe County to Lynn Camp is a 2+ hour drive.

Will be interesting to see who the next coach is at Barren County. Arnett left it in a much better position than he found it.

I agree and that shows how truly down that program was he got them to around .500 the last couple years and that is a incredible improvement.
Jack of all Trades Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Sounds like they need to get the Hughes boys in their coaching up their alma mater.
