CP had the #1 position locked up but he didn't take advantage of it. Fortunately, his transgressions probably helped the Cats get to a bowl.

 

If he gets his head on straight, he can be a solid receiver on a team with some pretty good receivers. I'd expect the number of touches he gets to go up in the very near future (but not at qb).

That or he should redshirt next year and be a 2 starter, which would give him plenty of time to make an impact and get his draft status up

IMO, Brooks and Joker want Pulley to move to reciever no matter what.

 

The QB of the future is Fidler or Hartline, Pulley gets left out of the equation not by skill, but by grade/age. The coaching staff would rather go through first year struggles with a guy who is going to play more than a year or two.

 

I don't see CP wanting to redshirt, he is either going to accept the fact that UK wants him as a reciever or transfer elsewhere to play QB.

I don't owe nobody nothing! I know about the situation along with Curtis and the article didn't even touch 2 other reasons that he may transfer for.

If Pulley has really improved that much and really wants to play QB, then he should redshirt and try to be a 2-year starter. That's my opinion anyway.

 

I don't think he'll be a QB at the next level (you never know), so if he moved to WR full time right now, it would help him in that regard. On the flipside, if he's a good enough athlete, playing QB may not hurt his draft chances. NFL teams have shown that they will draft an athletic QB with intentions of moving him to WR...if Pulley is good enough, they'll probably do the same with him. Plus, he could fit into that slash role that is very valuable to teams that are creative with it and have a guy that pull it off.

Tough times for the Hoptown Cats -- Abren sent out of town on a rail and Pulley doesn't understand why he can't play QB when the guy starting had a 2nd Team All-SEC season. Give me a break. If he thinks he's the next V.Y. then let him transfer and prove Brooks and Joker wrong. Otherwise, take advantage of your God-given abilities and become the best WR you can be. Regardless, go to class.

But how many have really succeed in the NFL. I can name only 2, Ward and Randel EL. That doesn't mean there aren't more but I just can't think of any. My point is I believe Pulley is better off learning and improving at the WR position.

So he's not the big man on campus anymore. Get over it and work hard.

 

If he wants out, I say bon voyage. Kentucky has struggled enough in the past couple of seasons but has pretty much stayed on track in terms of developing a PROGRAM. Curtis Pulley is one piece of that program & if he doesn't want to stay then I have confidence that somebody else will step right up and do just fine. After all, that's what programs are all about, isn't it?
