St. Xavier vs. Walton-Verona (Predictions/Updates)

Featured Replies

I see St. X winning this one comfortably.  Not sure Walton-Verona has someone who can match up against Mudd.  The Tigers don't have a ton of size, but their kids are strong and could overpower with W-V with their depth. I also think this is is a step up in competition for W-V.

I'll go with St. X, just believe WV might be in too deep of water.

WV beat Woodford County which is good team so it wouldn’t surprise me if WV won. Mekhi Smith has played well so between him , Ayden Mudd, and Ben Varga provide a good 3 player nucleus. St. X probably deeper than WV.

I've only seen a half of either team play and that was the second half of St.X's game against Lincoln Co. They seemed to play pretty well and didn't let a couple of big shots by Lincoln Co force them into bad shots on the offensive side for them. I'll go with St. X, but don't really have a reason other than that's my team.

How deep does X go?

They played 11 players against Lincoln County in close game. I think they have depth at guard but thin in front court. They will get some help in front court once Micah Carter returns since coming back from hand injury from football which not sure when that  will be.

Looks like Mudd may have injured  his ankle late in the game?
