This Week on What did LeBron Say?

Featured Replies

On the Road Trippin podcast, LeBron says his last two titles he won were the toughest in NBA history.

2016 vs. the Warriors was without a doubt an impressive feat. While the Warriors were a great team and finished with the best regular season record ever (which I feel was more about proving the naysayers wrong who discredited their title the year before and they played their tails off), the Warriors had to battle through the playoffs when it was go time. It was not as if they were the '97 Bulls or '86 Celtics. And Cleveland was frigging good. How it unfolded was tremendous coming from 3-1 down, but there have been much bigger long shots win the title. I can at least understand why he might make that case.

2020 vs. the #5 seeded Miami Heat who lost two main cogs in game 1. Seriously.

What was most funny about it all, one day after he says this, the final ESPN player rankings are released and LeBron and Davis are #s 1 and 2. So you have the top two players in the league, yet this was the  toughest title to claim in NBA history... this was a narrative he was pushing through the bubble. If only he could get a little more help, the burden would not be as great as it is on this poor man.

To me this is peak LeBron and why I love the guy. I don't think he is a bad guy, but he is fun to rail on because it is constant content with him. He and his team know if you say something, people will believe it, whether it is the truth or not.

So beating the Warriors in 2016 was one of the toughest because they were the best team in the league, but being the best team in the league in 2020 with the best two players in the league was also one of the hardest. ?

Vintage LeBron.

Mentally I’d say it was.  Not saying I believe him without hearing the podcast but I can see why he would say that.

Playing in the bubble for 3 months away from the family without any real fans as well as having to play the entire Finals knowing your oldest son is at home blowing trees on Instagram and there isn’t anything you can do about it.

Every team in the playoffs has two bona fide superstars on it.   Especially once they get down to the conference semis and conference finals.  Why do we always act like it is a sin for LeBron to want the same kind of help every other superstar has?

We all know ESPN's credibility isn't what it used to be. Those player rankings are further proof. LeBron wasn't even the best player on his team. AD carried his geriatric behind to the title this year. LeBron is, AT BEST, a top-25 guy in the league.

And to call these last to rings the toughest?! GS lost Draymond, who was the best player in the league at the time, all because LeBron whined about him. Jimmy Butler was 1-2 solid contributors away from knocking off that loaded LA team. I mean, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Alex Carusso, and Kyle Kuzma are locks for the HoF. I would certainly hope that with those guys, as well as a proven winner in AD, against a depleted Heat team, LeBron could get it done.

I'm sick of this guy.

That's not fair. I would have put LeBron just behind Playoff Rondo on this past year's team.

Draymond was the best player in the league at the time?  Debatable.  But, even assuming he was...they only lost him in game 5.  He still played in games 6 and 7.  GS still had their chance to win that thing with Draymond on the court, and they didn't.

Sarcasm was the play on Snottie's post I'm assuming.

Ahead of Alex “Clamps” Caruso?

Missing that game threw the Dubs chemistry all out of whack. Kyrie, K Love, and TT don’t need a huge window to get the job done, as they’ve proven over and over throughout their careers.

The other thing to call it would be factual.
