Georgia 14 Kentucky 3

Featured Replies

Final the offense again was just terrible the defense made some plays but offense just terrible. It's hard to stretch a defense when your average is just 3.6 yards. The Kentucky offense has in the past 2 games only 374 total yards and only 23 first downs in 2 games hard to beat anyone in the SEC with offensive numbers like that. The Cats have a much needed week off before hosting win less Vandy comes to Lexington.

Gatewood stock has fallen by 50% but its Georgia and he’s a project.  He’s gonna be at UK 2-3 more years and will pay off in the end.

Beau Allen anyone?

The UK Offense was pathetic today.

To think Georgia could have Justin Fields at QB with that defense.  Assuming they’d start him.

Way too early to be asking that question.  When your first start at QB is against a defense like UGA, you cannot expect much.  If he doesn't bomb (which Gatewood did not), you call it good enough.  Wait to see how he does against a mere mortal team like Vandy before even dreaming about playing Allen.

Had OSU chose to start Burrows, maybe UGA could have had Fields.

Guys, my thoughts after watching this staff for 8 years is they’re really good at recruiting and building up the program but when it comes to game prep, in game adjustments and clock management they just not very good.

Good points but Gatewood is not nearly as good or athletic as a bunch of people led me to believe.

I wasn't impressed with Gatewood and I am a huge Allen fan.

I just want to see UK win.

For the love of god please fire Eddie Gran that guy is clueless. Constantly running every down with a few short passes sprinkled in is not gonna win games most of the time. I don’t think we had a pass over 10 yards. I was really hoping Gatewood would be the answer but I think there’s a reason he couldn’t win the starting job at Auburn.

I was at the game today.  Not sure how it looked on TV but I don’t place the blame on Gatewood at all.  There was not a single UK receiver open more than 10 yards down the field the entire game.  UK needs a major upgrade at WR or a better passing scheme.  Gatewood didn’t have a chance today.

Georgia did have Fields just didn’t want to play him for some reason.

I also just want to see UK win but I don't see how playing Allen would have resulted in a win.  Allen hasn't received near the reps of Gatewood in practice so it does not seem logical he would have done any better.  Give Allen time, he will get there.  I just don't see how he could be yet.

I agree.  It is obvious Gran is not yet confident in Gatewood yet to let him loose on some very average receivers.  If Gran had Gatewood passing frequently, UGA defenders probably would have destroyed UK.  Let Gatewood get his passing confidence built up against Vandy, NOT UGA.
