Now if I had unlimited money/resources where someone could maintain the grounds, I would vote for the beach house.

Don't act like you're not rolling in it, bugsy.

50/50 farm house or lake house for me, both would be great. I just can't tell my wife that a beach house was an option...lol.

Florida is my happy place!

This is my only thought process with this question which is why I am picking the mountain cabin. Two of the options have water nearby which seems to be more of a hassle, and yeah, the sand/salt in the air with the beach. A farm house sounds like I am maintaining multiple acres. No thanks.

I've actually loved living on the lake, though I really don't utilize it the way I did when I moved here, 20 years ago. It's not a housing development so that may be why. I have a 2 acre lot on the lake on a private road off a private road. Because of the lake, nobody can build behind me and nobody can build in front of me because of a power easement and another lake beyond that. No HOA, either. It's kind of like living in the country. Yet, I am within walking distance of a Costco and the largest mall in the Tampa Bay Area.

Lake house with my fishing boat tied up to the dock out front.
